1st for French Property release the results of their survey of searches: on their site between Jan – June 2012. First, the regions of France – where are the popular regions to buy a French property? The first six months of 2012 results show that Brittany and Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur remain a firm favourite. Even in these financially troubled times the more expensive region of Provence Alpes Cote d’Azur is popular.

Dordogne for many years have remained a very popular area of France for both holiday-makers and property buyers. There are large communities of Brits in the Dordogne. The west coast of France remains popular too with Charente-Maritime, Vendee, and Morbihan featuring in the Top 5 departments.
